Clancy the Basset Hound taught me that physical healing has a variety of 'looks,' so don't get too hung up on the details. At age six, his heart valve sprung a leak. Several important vets said to make him comfortable, that he'd be gone within six months. I thought they were wrong. We put him in prayer, made a few dietary changes and saw that he got a daily jog. Clancy lived to be 17, outliving all 3 vets who predicted his future. His heart never sounded as if it healed and yet he lived a normal, active doggie life. I found a vet who didn't care what his heart sounded like, which made it easier for everyone, most especially Clancy. BTW: the so-called life-span of a Basset is 10 to 12 years. Clancy was never too interested in negative prognostications. His favorite drink was Brandy & Benedictine and Dom Perignon on New Year's Eve.
